Avery Brophy
STUDIO DIRECTOR & COMPANY COACH
Avery has been a competitive choreographer/teacher since 2015 and started training at the age of 2. She has received various awards for her choreography and Competitive pieces and has enjoyed traveling across North America, taking classes from professionals in the industry. Avery is well versed in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, acro, heels, partnering and hip-hop dance forms.
Over the years, Avery has had the chance to work with several outstanding teachers including Shannon Mathers, Brian Freedman, Ian Eastwood, Blake McGrath, Tara Jean Popowich and more. Avery proudly attended the Broadway Dance Centres ‘Dance Teacher Workshop’ in New York, where she had the opportunity to learn from many industry professionals.
In addition to many years experience as a dance teacher, and her schooling in physiotherapy and behaviour sciences, Avery has obtained her Dance Studio Owners Certification through IAP College. She is proud to be able to create well thought-out and safe practices for our ONE dancers.
Avery is dedicated and driven to make the studio and it’s day-to-day operations organized and well thought out. Her and Rachel oversee everything from class scheduling to curriculum development to performance planning. They are dedicated to ensuring that ONE Dance Company remains a supportive and nurturing community where dancers of all backgrounds feel valued and encouraged to pursue their passion
Avery hopes to make ONE feel like a second home for the dancers and their families and is excited to help them grow in dance and in life.

Rachel Fleury
STUDIO DIRECTOR & COMPANY COACH
Rachel is a vibrant and enthusiastic dance teacher, bringing a fresh perspective and energy to the dance studio. Despite her young age, Rachel has already amassed 8 years of experience in teaching dance, specializing in Hip Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Acro & Ballet.
Starting her dance journey at the age of 3, Rachel naturally fell in love with the art form and dedicated herself to mastering various techniques and styles. Rachel is technically trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and hip hop. Rachel has had many opportunities to train with well renowned dancers such as Twitch, Boneless, Tara-Jean Popowich, Jay T Shrameck and more! Her passion for dance shines through in every class she teaches, inspiring students to embrace movement, rhythm, and expression.
Rachel brings a unique approach to her classes, incorporating modern music, innovative choreography, and interactive teaching methods to engage students of all ages and learning styles. She understands the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to explore their creativity and push their boundaries. Rachel is committed to staying current with the latest trends and developments in the dance world, continuously seeking ways to enhance the offerings and experiences at ONE Dance Company.
In addition to her role as a teacher, Rachel has her Dance Studio Owners Certification through IAP College and she is currently studying under Acrobatic Arts to receive her official Acro Dance Teacher Certification to further her students acro abilities. She is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the studio along side Avery, overseeing everything from class scheduling to curriculum development to performance planning. They are dedicated to ensuring that ONE Dance Company remains a supportive and nurturing community where dancers of all backgrounds feel valued and encouraged to pursue their passion
Rachel is overwhelmed with joy as her and Avery embark on this journey, and we are so happy you are joining us! She hopes to create a space at ONE Dance Company that feels like family. Taylor Ingratta
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Taylor has been dancing since the age of 11 with her first style being ballet. She was a competitive dancer for 7 years and has been trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, hiphop, jazz and tap. She has had the opportunity to preform in local shows such as Cardinal Carters Danceology. Taylor has had the opportunity to learn from amazing talent in the dance industry such as Autumn Miller, Jay T Schramek, Jordan Clark, Amanda Ohleghorn, Jac Valiquette, Krista Miller and Lonni Olsen. She has received multiple scholarships and awards over the years while also sharing her passion through teaching. One of the most notable being her overall placement at Luv 2 dance Florida national dance competition, other achievements include intermediate, teen and senior overalls at competitions such as Dance attack, Dream to Dance, Dance Canada and Kick it Up Dance Competition.
Taylor has completed multiple exams in Jazz, Cecchetti ballet, Vaganova Ballet and pointe. In addition, she has experience training students to pass similar exams. Taylor hopes to spread positivity, and improve confidence while teaching students discipline and strength. She is excited to join the ONE Dance Faculty and aims to make her classroom a place where every student feels comfortable to share their love of dance.

Emily Swackhammer
TUMBLING INSTRUCTOR
Emily has coached gymnastics recreationally and competitively for over 12 years. She found a love for gymnastics at the young age of 6 and has stayed involved ever since. Emily has taught private and group lessons to many dancers, working on skills from cartwheels to layouts and everything in between.
Emily is a proud Certified NCCP Level 2 Coach and is also working as a Child & Youth Counsellor. She is looking forward to joining the ONE dance family and is excited to host tumbling workshops throughout the year and work closely with the company team!

Mackenzie Knopp
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Mackenzie has been dancing since she was 6 years old and doing competitive dance for 3 years. She has been trained in ballet, Jazz, Hiphop, Acro, lyrical and contemporary and her favourite styles would have to be Contemporary and jazz. She loves sharing the art of dance with others and is looking forward to teaching students at ONE Dance Company. She is excited to express her love of dance and share it with others so they can grow their love and passion for it as well. Mackenzie is excited for season one and is looking forward to teaching in a positive and caring environment that pushes students to achieve their best.

Milana Penner
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Milana started taking recreational dance lessons at the age of 3 and at the age of 9, started training in competitive dancing, making this year her 7th competitive season. She has trained in various styles over my years of dance such as: Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro, Contemporary, Ballet and Musical Theatre. Milana loves all of styles that she has trained in but, her favourite is Musical Theatre because it is a way to express herself. She loves teaching students dance because she enjoys being with kids, enjoys dancing and, loves to see students demonstrate their love and passion for dance. Milana is excited to teach at ONE dance company and to share her love and passion for dance to others, leaving them inspired, confident. She hopes to help make ONE a place the dancers call home.

Ava Pereira
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Ava began dancing at the age of six and began competitive dance at the age of ten, giving her a total of ten years of experience. Ava has trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, acro, lyrical, tap, and contemporary dance disciplines. However, among all of these types, she prefers contemporary. One of the reasons Ava enjoys teaching is because she gets to share her love of dance with others and watch them grow and inspire them. Ava is also looking forward to building a safe and positive environment at ONE dance company, where everyone feels accepted. In addition, she is happy to continue doing what she loves and be alongside individuals who work just as hard as she does and who love to dance.

Alexa Pereira
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Alexa has been dancing since she was 6 years old, and has been participating in competitive dance since the age of 10. Her dance experience includes Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre. Alexa’s favorite styles are jazz and lyrical. She enjoys teaching dancers as it allows her to share her love of dance while also teaching others. She loves seeing dancers grow and improve not only in dance, but as human beings while still being happy and having fun! Alexa is thrilled to be teaching at ONE dance company, where she hopes to assist dancers express their love of dance as much as she does .
